Limited Warranty

This is the limited warranty policy of the RCA Commercial Electronics, Inc. (‘RCA’) from which you (‘Purchaser’) purchase RCA LED products. This policy is applicable only to RCA LED product (‘Product’) purchased. Your Product will be repaired or replaced, at RCA’s discretion , if it proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use, within the warranty period listed below, effective from the date of original invoice/ purchase of the Product. This warranty is good only when the Product is purchased directly from an RCA or RCA authorized distributor.

Special Conditions

The warranty period starts on the date of invoice/ purchase, but no later than six (6) months after the product manufacturing date. Warranty period is based on a maximum of 4000 hours per year for all LED products. By default, Purchaser receives above mentioned ‘standard warranty’. On request, an ‘extended warranty’ or ‘customized project warranty’ can be agreed upon after evaluation of the specific application conditions. The warranty period is based on Normal Ambient Temperature and Standard Voltage Usage (Within Marked Spec sheet by RCA), purchaser shall not rely upon any other information or documentation.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. TO THE EXTENT ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY IS REQUIRED BY LAW, IT IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE EXPRESS WARRANTY PERIOD ABOVE. RCA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOST PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGE WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS UNDER APPLICABLE LAWS. YOUR RIGHTS MAY VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION. THEREFORE SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Summary of the Warranty Terms and Conditions

This limited warranty is valid only for Products sold. This limited warranty is valid only for Products purchased directly from a RCA or RCA authorized distributor. Proof of purchase for Products shall be available for inspection by RCA. Products shall be properly installed and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The records of operating history shall be kept and available for inspection by RCA of Products are not covered under this limited warranty. An RCA representative will have access to the defective Products. If Products or other parts become suspect, the representative shall have the right to invite other manufacturers’ representatives to evaluate the lighting systems. Labor costs for (de)-installation of Products are not covered under this limited warranty. System components must be used in compliance with RCA Luminaires and Software, including RCA Sensor Connect, DaintreeControlScopeTM and AutaniEnergyCenterTM. Excludes use with 3rd party.

This limited warranty does not apply to:

Any removal or re-installation activities, costs or expenses, including without limitation, labor costs or expenses. Damage to or failure of the Product to perform during power failures, interruptions, or inadequate electrical service. Damage or failure resulting from running the Product in a corrosive atmosphere or contrary to the instructions outlined in the Product owner’s manual. Damage to or failure of the Product caused by accidents, pest and vermin, lightning, wind, fire, floods, or acts of God. Damage or failure resulting from misuse, abuse, improper installation, repair, maintenance, or foreign objects placed in or connected to the Product. Improper repair to include use of parts not approved or specified by RCA. Damage or failure caused by unauthorized modification, alteration, adjustment of user controls, calibration, accessories or separate system components. Damage or failure caused by incorrect electrical current, voltage, components or consumable cleaning products that are not approved by RCA. Damage or failure caused by transportation and/or handling, including scratches, dents, chips, and/or other damage to the finish of your product, unless such damage results from defects in materials or workmanship, and is reported within one (1) week of delivery. Damage to or failure of any display, open box, discounted, or refurbished product. Product with original serial numbers that have been removed, altered, or cannot be readily determined. Increases in utility costs and additional utility expenses. Damage or failure that results from institutional or commercial use or if it is used for other than intended purpose. Product can rust when exposed to corrosive gases. Therefore, exposure to corrosive gases must be avoided during operation and storage. Product should avoid direct contact with hazardous materials such as sulfur, chlorine, phthalate. The Smart solution products are not apply to simple software change such as customer request and under development products. If RCA determines to replace the Product and it has been discontinued or is not available, RCA may replace the Product with a comparable product (that can show small deviations in design/color temp. and product specification). RCA will facilitate the technical resolution of problems. Third party products sold by RCA are not covered under this limited warranty. If requested by RCA, the non-conforming or defective Products shall become RCA’s property as soon as they have been replaced.
